16 in 16 - Greater Accra Region

Project 16 in 16 is a national initiative: one 16km race in every region of Ghana. It’s an exploration of the culture, community, and essence of the region we are in, as well as an opportunity to give back.

Our start location, Greater Accra, begins at the historic Independence Square — a representation of freedom, unity, and pride. While you run, you’ll be part of a collective experience of movement, connection, and purpose, all set against the backdrop of one of Ghana’s most iconic sites.

Prepare for a vibrant atmosphere from beginning to end. Music, enthusiastic crowds, and a community of runners all striving towards the same objective. No matter if you're an experienced runner or stepping into running for the first time, this is an opportunity to push your limits, honor your roots, and join a community that represents more than just the act of running.
