Kumba is a nomadic test kitchen and culinary collaborative dedicated to contemporary African cuisine, storytelling, and immersive sensory experiences. Through pop-ups, creative collaborations, and cultural research, we explore the rich intersections of food, memory, and modern identity. Rooted in a mission to honor and evolve African foodways —an experimental table where old roots and new boundaries converge. We are storytellers. Our work is inspired by the rich traditions of the Igbo, Shona, Wolof, Yoruba, Fulani, Bantu, Ewe, Akan, and many others whose legacies shape the continent’s culinary landscape.
